Debate has been a huge part of my life since middle school. I fell in love with the thrill of a good argument, the people I met along the way, and eventually, the challenge of organizing the very competitions I once attended. Here's where all those years of talking (and occasionally arguing too much) have taken me!
Debate Club
I first encountered Puzzles Ams as a sixth-grade contestant at Hanoi Debate Tournament. Years later, I became the club's president, coaching our beloved “little foxes,” designing Mock Trial cases, and organizing major debate events. Between Wednesday training sessions in C209 and five months of HDT preparations, I've learned just how much work goes into creating opportunities for other debaters.
TEDx Speaker
At TEDx Vinschool Smart City, I delivered a talk exploring how small, repeatable actions can outlast bursts of motivation. Preparing for the stage also taught me a surprising amount about eye contact and gestures.
My Debate Journey
I've spent countless afternoons dissecting motions, defending opinions I don't agree with, and making friends over tea breaks between rounds. Debate has shaped how I approach questions in economics, healthcare, and everyday life.
